Jan Vanherck

Jan Vanherck holds a degree in civil engineering and has worked in management positions for multinational and Belgian companies. He started teaching finance, economics, and applied mathematics at United International Business Schools (UIBS) in 2010 and was Dean of the institution for several years. Apart from being a professor, Jan also runs several privately owned companies and offers consultancy services.

Jan joined ECBE's Board of Directors in 2016 and was appointed Treasurer.
He became Director of Finance and Administration in January 2018, and is still holding this position.
His main contributions to ECBE include introducing a double bookkeeping system, including a new budgeting methodology, and setting up ECBE's SharePoint.
He was intensely involved in defining ECBE 3.0, the European registration process, and contributed largely to the new Statutes and Beylaws.
Currently, he is also responsible for the website development.

Jan is happily married and has one daughter. His main hobbies are cooking, wine tasting and all kinds of in-house projects.
