Jan Vanherck

Jan Vanherck holds a degree in civil engineering. He has been working in management positions for both multinational and Belgian companies. He started teaching finance, economics and applied mathematics at United International Business Schools (UIBS) in 2010. For several years, he was Dean of the institution. Apart from being a professor, Jan also runs several privately owned companies and offers consultancy services.

Jan joined ECBE's Board of Directors in 2016 and was appointed as Treasurer.
He became Director of Finance and Administration in January 2018, and is still holding this position.
His main contributions to ECBE are the introduction of a double bookkeeping system, including a new budgeting methodology and the setup of ECBE's SharePoint.
He is strongly involved in defining ECBE 3.0, the European registration process and contributes largely to the new Statutes and Bye-laws.
Currently, he is also responsible for the website development.

Jan is happily married and has one daughter. His main hobbies are cooking, wine tasting and all kinds of in-house projects.
