Membership benefits
ECBE membership means the inclusion to the network of Institutions delivering study programmes from the fields of economics, business, management and similar fields. Within this network ECBE Members exchange their experiences in the education and in their processes of building quality culture.
However, not only business schools, but also professionals in business schools must be able to adapt to the changes brought about by globalization, digitization and the changing competencies of business graduates who need them for successful integration into the labor market. Membership in the ECBE also means the possibility of improving the efficiency of business school professionals through the participation and co-creation of professional events, such as the ECBE conferences and workshops, with a long tradition.
Free attendance to our Annual Webinar Series on quality assurance
We host an annual webinar series, free of charge for members, with a wide range of international experts providing members with briefing and intelligence about contemporary issues in higher education. ECBE also delivers webinars about its quality assurance methods and processes, helping its members and accredited providers to enhance their academic provision. We are interested to work with you and other colleagues to program a range of sessions that will be use and interest to a global audience.
Free attendance to the online version of the Annual Conference
Our Annual Conference is held in May each year, with member institutions able to register online delegates for free. This expands the potential for your colleagues and students to participate in the conference. This wide-ranging, two-day event contains sessions for quality assurance staff, academics, researchers and students on issues from teaching practice, learning resources, international higher education policy and academic standards.
Involvement in our activities
ECBE operate a range of standing and ad-hoc committees, working groups and events that members can join to help shape our work. These opportunities range from developing and reviewing standards, reflecting on the needs of business, economics and management employers, planning conferences and webinars and responding to the international developments in higher education. Involvement in this activity can help strengthen a provider’s provision as well as act as personal development for their staff. Current opportunities include to serve as reviewers, or join working groups on international engagement, program accreditation standards and knowledge exchange. If you or your colleagues are interested in joining one or more of these groups, please email
Networking opportunities with other members
ECBE is in the process of establishing new, international member networks. These groups will bring together staff from common areas of responsibility (e.g. senior leadership, quality etc.) to discuss shared issues and challenges. Thereby helping our members to navigate their respective higher education landscapes with the benefit of internationally informed insights from a range of similar providers. A call for membership to these groups is being issued in January 2023.
Access to thematic analyses and best practice collections
As part of our work ECBE produces a range of knowledge services, including thematic analyses of our accreditation reports and collections that showcase sector good practice in business, economics, management and related fields, in particular in new emerging and private providers. These resources are freely available to members, through a dedicated section on our website. Paid member institutions can secure as many login credentials to these resources for their staff as they require.
Increased Visibility
ECBE helps to showcase the work and good practice taking place in member institutions through our website, newsletters, social media channels and events. This helps providers to increase awareness of their institutions, brand and programs among prospective students, employers and other stakeholders. As well as securing recognition for any new developments and success. A recent call for news was issued in our member newsletter (November 2022). If you have news you would like to promote, please email
Opportunity to participate in enhancement led reviews
Institutions will have the opportunity to participate in enhancement led reviews. We are currently working on a new enhancement-led review method that will enable institutions to request that a team of international experts examine an area of important practice to the institution (e.g. internationalization or employer engagement). These reviews culminate in the identification of good practice as well as recommendations for further improvement. The outcomes can be used in marketing material and to enhance quality assurance. For more information or to register an interest in taking part in a pilot please again email
