Bye-Laws
The Bye-Laws are guidelines prepared according to Article 36 of ECBE's Statutes.
They are intended to provide the necessary protocols for activities and processes of ECBE and the transparency required for both internal and external quality assurance. They assure that all activities of ECBE are in compliance with European Standards and Guidelines and other criteria of international organisations in the field of quality assurance in higher education, especially ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and the Code of Good Practice of the ECA (European Consortium for Accreditation in Higher Education).
Members can also download the future version (still under construction) of ECBE's Bye-Laws.
Detailed procedures are available in 2 handbooks: one for accreditation matters, one for administrative procedures. You can read more by clicking the following links:
Important message: in 2023, we are in a transition period
ECBE's working procedures currently undergo important changes. The BoD took the decision to adjust both accreditation procedures, and working principles to prepare the Agency for future challenges. This turnaround includes changes of Statutes and Bye-Laws that will be implemented in the course of 2023. However, this (new) website is already presenting the new modus operandi. We will keep this transistion period as short as possible.
If you have any further questions on this topic, please contact ECBE; in the form, please select option 11.
