ECBE is a dynamic organization. As such, we are always looking for excellent people willing to join us. It is an exciting time to be involved in the next stage of ECBE’s development. The organisation implementing the Strategic Plan 2022-25, which will have strong emphasis on internationalisation, industrial engagement and knowledge exchange. We also have a significant number of accreditation visits due to take place the coming academic years.

Directors
ECBE currently has 2 vacancies on its Board of Directors (BoD).
The BoD is responsible for oversight of the organisation and, in particular, work conducted by the Executive Committee. The BoD meets up to 6 times a year and we are currently looking for candidates with the following experience:
- A senior representative from business and industry (ideally from international and/or pan European company or organisation)
- Current student in business, management or economics (from any cycle of study)
BoD appointments, done by ECBE's Annual general Meeting (AGM), are for a period of 3 years and appointments may be renewed once. Awaiting the decision of the AGM, candidates for the current vacancies can be coopted by the BoD, meaning the first appointment period is until the next AGM.
Commissioners
ECBE currently has 1 vacancy on its Board of Commissioners (BoC).
Commissioners are responsible for making accreditation decisions based on reports produced by our expert teams following external review visits. Commissioners should be senior academic post holders with a strong track record in quality assurance and accreditation. Commissioners are appointed for an initial period of 3 years and appointments may be renewed. Commissioners are paid a fixed fee for each accreditation case that they consider.
International Quality Assurance Professsionals
ECBE currently has multiple vacancies for international quality assurance professionals.
ECBE is using a number of permanent Committees and temporary Working and Advisory Groups, as such also involving people from outside the organization. Examples of the questions and tasks to be solved by these groups are the development of a new strategy for the Agency, strategic decisions about the accreditation process, establishment of long-term marketing plans, European relations, appeal procedures, ...
We are seeking a broad membership, reflective of our stakeholder group.
Candidates will therefore possess knowledge, experience and expertise in one or more of the following:
- Senior administrative and academic management positions in higher education institutions (we are especially interested in applications from small, private providers)
- Senior business and industry positions (ideally in international and/or pan European companies and organisations)
- European Higher Education Policy experience
- Prior knowledge of the work of national and international quality assurance agencies
- Students representatives with experience of advocating for students from business, management and economics programmes and institutions
Term of appointment is depending on the Committee or Working Group.
Senior, Academic and Student Reviewers
ECBE currently has 1 vacancy for a Senior Reviewer.
ECBE conducts programme accreditation procedures and is exploring the potential to introduce new, additional review methods. To support this work, we are seeking to grow our current pool of academic and student reviews.
Requirements for Academic Reviewers:
- Qualifications and track record of teaching, research and/or supervision in the fields of business, management or economics
- Fluency in English
- Accomplished writing skills
- Cooperation and communication skills
- Experience of cooperation with quality assurance agencies in the capacity of institutional/programme evaluation expert
- Experience in HEI administration / management
- Familiarity with Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education (ESG) 2015
Requirements for Senior Reviewers
- The ones mentioned for Academic Reviewers
- Being able to chair the Review Team
- Being able to organize and to take the final responsability of a Review Visit
Requirements for Student Reviewers
- Current student (from any study cycle) in the fields of business, management, or economics
- Fluency in English
- Accomplished writing skills
- Cooperation and communication skills
- Experience of quality assurance, either internally within their own institution or externally for a quality assurance agency or accreditation body
